You might think you know what headbanging looks like but do you really? In a new book, 2 times world press photographer Jacob Ehrbahn gives us an insight
It's a pleasure to feature the work of a photographer who can point to a top quality body of work and Jacob Ehrbahn is indeed one.
Danish artist Ehrbahn, who has more awards on his shelf than you can shake a bent stick at, has collected a series of striking images of our lovely mettalic friends doing what they do.
Whilst his paying job is as a news press photographer, in his spare time he's been following heavy metal fans around and, from the look of it sliding around on the floor shooting upwards.
Now admittedly in many ways the shots often look either like someone having a particularly invasive amount of dentistry or a supreme orgasm, they are still remarkably hypnotic and you have to marvel at the guys' hutzpah. You won't get me lying on the floor at a gig anytime soon.
Anyway enjoy the images, buy the book.
oh and if you want to see the work of someone whose work is so good and so important it makes me want to sell my gear and go and lie in a darkened room then check his other stuff out here http://greatphotojournalism.com/jacobehrbahn.html
