O’Neills music festival – preview

That well known authentic Irish pub O'Neills has managed by hook or by crook to gather together a programme of live music featuring some of the very best in local talent.

6:15 - 6:45pm   Phil King
7 - 7:30pm Graham Seaton

To be fair picking the best out of that line up is really difficult. So at the risk of annoying some really great musicians I'm still going to give it a go!

For my Friday Pick I'm going with the Bonsai Pirates. Anyone that has 'pirate' in their name is a neck ahead at the start anyway but I like the noise they make and they are a good band for photographers too.

On Saturday it's a difficult one with so many great acts. Tim Somerfield, Kimari Raven and Hello Hawaii get honourable mentions but my pick has to be Worry Dolls with (hopefully) a now fighting fit Emma after her recent throat issues.

Sunday sees more excellent acts and Bookending the day are Si Genaro and Graham Seaton. I'm going to give it to Chicken Train originator Si for his irrepressible style and my feeling is that he'll wake us up from our Sunday morning stupor with style.

If you agree with me then you'll know that there's loads of good stuff on show and it's worth going down for. If you don't agree then go along, have a listen and write me a review!

As ever please check with the venue before travelling. Times are approximate and subject to change due to traffic and weather conditions or people just getting up late.
